Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue is set to provide the city with the largest events space that can accommodate up to 3,000 guests in its 3,044-square-metre facility. It will be located in a mixed-use mall complex and feature 412 guest rooms, six restaurants, an executive lounge and sports facility.
Aside from the multitude of dining options, the hotel will be close to sightseeing and leisure spots such as the Medan Merdeka, Mesjid Istiqlal, Museum Bahari (Maritime Museum), Museum Nasional (National Museum) and the Museum Sejarah Kota Jakarta (Jakarta History Museum).
“An exciting time to introduce the Swissôtel brand into Indonesia”
“This is such an exciting time to introduce the Swissôtel brand into Indonesia and particularly Jakarta to complement the group’s growing portfolio of city and resort destinations throughout the region,” said Garth Simmons, COO AccorHotels Indonesia – Malaysia – Singapore.
Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue is designed by EDG Design, an interior architecture and design firm with offices in California, Texas and Singapore. Currently, the brand has more than 30 hotels around the world with flagship properties including Swissôtel The Bosphorus in Istanbul, Swissôtel The Stamford in Singapore and Swissôtel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow.
In 2017, Jakarta was dubbed as one of the 10 fastest-growing tourism cities by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). The property is expected to become a new landmark in the city with its prime location in the centre of commercial and upscale housing.
“A trendy lifestyle destination”
Alex Kusuma, CEO of ASRI, hotel owner and a subsidiary of the property developer, Agung Sedayu Group, added: “We are proud to partner with AccorHotels in bringing premium hotel brands to Indonesia through the presence of Swissotel Jakarta PIK Avenue.
“Pantai Indah Kapuk has evolved into a trendy lifestyle destination and this partnership enhances our multifunctional proposition to serve travellers with the construction of residential and commercial areas.”
