Jakarta – After being dropped for nearly a month, state-run carrier Garuda Indonesia is set to reopen its direct flight from Jakarta to London as of December 13, 2018.

Vice President Corporate Secretary PT Garuda Indonesia, M Ikhsan Rosan mentioned in the written statement on Sunday, December 2, that the non-stop flight from Jakarta to London’s Heathrow will be served by the carrier’s Boeing 777-300 ER dual class fleet serving both economy and business class.

Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia President Director Ari Askhara said that the three flight schedules each week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, will further represent the company’s attempt to strengthen its international flight network.

Garuda Indonesia is positive that the Jakarta-London flight will stay for a longer period of time following the increased visitations of UK tourists to Indonesia, according to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) records, which places them as the fourth largest following tourists from China, Australia, and India that visit Indonesia annually.
