Jakarta – The National Awakening Party (PKB) has not yet expressed support to President Joko Widodo or Jokowi in the 2019 presidential election, even though its chairman Muhaimin Iskandar has declared himself a vice-presidential candidate for Jokowi.
Latest, PKB even rumored to be out of the government coalition if Jokowi not woo Muhaimin, who is familiarly called Cak Imin, as vice president.
Although the issue is widely spread, PPP Deputy Chairman Arwani Thomafi believes that PKB stays together in a coalition in the 2019 presidential election.
“If I am sure (solid), from the information we filter, PKB will remain Mr. Jokowi,” said Arwani in Cikini, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 12, 2018.
Nevertheless, it can not impose the will of Cak Imin. Coalition also, said Arwani, appreciate the decision.
“PKB friends certainly have the independence to decide where to vote politics, we will still appreciate,” he added.
Arwani added, whoever vice president to be elected Jokowi, party supporters will not be disappointed by his choice. Although, if the former Governor of DKI was proposing a non-political party politic. “I see his commitment to be sincere, sincere, not looking at the position, not because ‘I want to support it if I get the job’,” he said.
